Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum
The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (but when the Orioles play home night games, they’re open until 7 p.m.). The museum itself is packed with amazing exhibits, including “O Say Can You See: The Star Spangled Banner in Sports” and “The Ruthian Record,” which explores why the Great Bambino was the greatest player to ever take the field.
You can also visit the historic house where Ruth was born, look at his uniforms, and explore his personal life in the exhibit “Babe: Husband, Father, Friend” and check out where he learned how to play the sport.

Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum
The B&O Railroad Museum, affiliated with the Smithsonian, is packed with amazing collections of the oldest, most historic trains and artifacts. You’ll be able to explore historic buildings, visit the Hays T. Watkins Research Library and check out the B&O Railroad’s digitized collections, as well as tour the restoration facility and visit the historic site.
The museum plans several events, as well, including in-depth presentations and exhibitions like “Presidential Passages,” which explores the rides past presidents took on B&O rail lines, as well as things for the holidays and more.

Historic Ships in Baltimore
Historic Ships in Baltimore is a collection of military vessels – and it’s one of the best in the world. All the ships are located within walking distance of each other, including the U.S. Constellation, the submarine Torsk, the Coast Guard Cutter Taney and the Lightship Chesapeake. The Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse is also part of the group.
Historic Ships in Baltimore also plans several events, including the Captian’s Jubliee and a number of other special exhibits.
