November 1 – December 30: Montpelier House Museum Reopening
Montpelier House in Laurel will be open for self-guided tours (by reservation only) on Thursdays through Mondays throughout the months of November and December. Built in the 1780s as a plantation, this historic landmark is a must-see to experience living history.
November 1 – November 6: Artina 2021 Exhibit: Balancing Acts
Featuring 12 original works created by 10 local artists from the Washington Sculptors Group, the Artina 2021 exhibit, Balancing Acts, is on display at the Sandy Spring Museum in Sandy Spring. There are other amazing exhibits, too, including Incarceration and Creation, that you can see at the same time.
November 1 – December 23: Chaos and Cosmos Exhibition
The Chaos to Cosmos exhibition at Stevenson University is a fabulously curated exhibit that presents climate crisis concepts in unique ways. It’s located in the Art Gallery at the Greenspring Campus.

November 1 – December 1: A Mazing City
A Mazing City, completely concocted by local artists, is a massive maze-like structure in Cumberland (it’s at 13 Canal Street). This public art project uses large, colorful panels installed at Canal Place with plenty of photo opportunities available.
November 1 – December 5: Christmas in the Woods Craft Show
The annual Christmas in the Woods Craft Show in Bel Air features Maryland-themed items, tons of home decor, decorated trees and just about everything else you can imagine. They’re open 7 days a week (but closed on Thanksgiving). On Mondays and Saturdays, they’re open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
November 1 – November 27: Art Howard County 2021
Teeming with work from local Howard County artists, the Art Howard County exhibit is coming to Ellicott City. This must-see exhibit boasts a huge range of media, including photography, sculpture, painting and drawing. You can visit at 8510 High Ridge Road in Ellicott City.

Bio sphere – also located at 8510 High Ridge Road in Ellicott City – is a spectacular exhibit featuring installations and photographs by a pair of fabulous artists: Melissa Penley Cormier and Mary McCoy.
